Hi all,

Next weekend service will be the end of free servicing plan.
Nissan dealer is asking for £18 a month for 20 months payment to cover a major and a minor servicing. It also includes breakdown cover plus extras.
Is this worth it?
Or should I look for somewhere else like kwik-fit or halfords?

£360 for service breakdown is pretty good if you trust you local dealer, phone halfords and quick fit and ask how much they charge for each one. Breakdown cover may swing it but also inflation proof.

I think it vastly depends on your circumstances.

Nissan give you
* Software updates to the entertainment system and engine control systems
* Curtesy car for the day
* RAC cover for 12 months

In comparison, I send my 2012 Micra in for a service to a local garage which is around £150 which is just the mechanicals.... no curtesy car, no software updates, no RAC cover So swings and roundabouts really.....

If you have an extended warranty with the car, then a Nissan service will may claims much easier if you ever need to make them.

Minimum £150 for an service outside for my 1.2 engine pulsar which is over 3 years.
I am going with Nissan dealer 3 year service for £537 which is fixed.
Monthly payment of £18.57 for 28 months with initial £17.04 payment, since I want split the payment rather than pay in one go.
What i get -
1. L3 - major, L1 - minor, L2 - Major service for 3 years
2. Every year only roadside assistance including Europe (not home start etc)
3. Courtesy car
4. Free vehicle software updates
5. Vehicle assessment video
6. 10% off purchase
