Hi all,

does anyone here have experience with diagnostic tools and the Pulsar?
I.e. devices that can read and delete fault codes etc. from control units like SRS, airbag and so on. Not the cheap standard OBD2 tools. Maybe even functionality beyond that, like resetting the BMS and such.

I found this as a candidate:

Foxwell NT650

I also wrote to all big manufacturers of affordable diagnostic tools and only received a recommendation from Foxwell: Foxwell NT644 pro, which is sort of the bigger brother of the aforementioned NT650.

Any pointers or experiences?

Cheers
Max

I'll just answer my own question:

The Autel MaxiAP200 works beautifully with the Pulsar. Tons of (all?) control units can be diagnosed and the error codes removed. It also has various service options like resetting the BMS etc., but I haven't tried anything of that yet.
I paid a discounted price of 51€ on Amazon.de, that's about 45.50£. Regular price is about 75€ I believe.

Lifetime updates for your first car make are included in the price. Additional licences for other car makes are 15$ extra and can be downloaded in the app.

It's dead simple to use as it is just a Bluetooth enabled VCI and an app on your smartphone.

You can find a matrix of what's supported here: https://pro.autel.com/measurecarAPP-1-1 ... 5&pageNo=0

Other tools from Autel that work (according to their email support): Autel Diaglink and MD802. Both are standalone units, if you prefer that.
