V3 was released in October 2017 at the latest as that's when my car had it's first service and the update was done. Nearly 18 months later we are still waiting for an update. Utterly ridiculous. I know I could use independant satnav but when a vehicle is supplied with it I don't think it unreasonable to expect it to be kept up to date.

Found this info on Here's homepage. Last sd card V3 was released in sep.17. In march this year(2019), the info on card is older than 18 months. What has happend in UK with the roads? Well this: During 18 months approximately
103.042
km of road
189.252
street names
21.295
turn restrictions
12.579
roundabouts
13.895
one way streets
969
sections of motorways
95.211
road directional signs
74.742
speed limits
have been added or amended

Seems that focus of updating maps are instead on Apps for smartphones. With the high prices we have to pay Nissan(100£), Here is probably not interrested in such small volumes any longer. Pity that we cant mirror our phones to our cars!

Sick of being messed about, I found the contact details for the MD of Nissan UK and sent an e-mail at 17:30 yesterday evening. At approximately 10 am today I got a call back from one of his support team.

The latest information is that an update was issued around February 2018 and another is due 'soon' this year. 'Soon' being in the next month or so.

The dealerships have to request the Mapcare update and it is charged back to Nissan Head Office, which is how the guy from the support team could see that this hasn't happened for my car. He is going to call my dealership and get things in motion for the latest update to be provided.

If you search for the Nissan UK MD it will show Alex Smith, although a new MD was appointed in December, e-mails do still get through. New man is Andrew Sellars.

The person I spoke to really could not have been more helpful and says he will raise the issues I had with the relevant departments.

Well done kt53!! Hopefully we soon have the " latest version". Those of us who must purhase sd card ourselves, maybe have to wait a little longer. I intend to buy from satnavstore, they have resonable price level.

I've just had a call from my local dealership. They have been contacted by the person who called me from Nissan Head Office and they have the card available if I'd like to call in. They still make it sound like they are doing me a favour though. I'm going to call in tomorrow as they can't just send it out, it has to be 'fitted' in the workshop. Ridiculous but I'm not going to argue. If they try being smartarses over it tomorrow I'll be straight back on to my man at the top.
Those of you who are covered by Mapcare, and haven't had the update when the car has been serviced, might want to rattle the cage a bit at your dealership.

Take your old one out before or they will keep it. May be of use to someone else

Couldn't keep the old card, the new one is a replacement so the old one has to go back. I can't imagine just how much use a 2 years out of date sat nav SD card must be. The cost of sending it back must be more than they can buy them for, but hey ho I have the new one in now. 'New' is comparative as it's the one which came out in February last year.
Next edition is due out in the next month or so. You don't have to wait for the car to go in for service. Once the new version is available, just ask your dealership to get it, if you are on Mapcare. You are entitled to a total of 3 updates during the life of the warranty.

So you have a new card from feb 2018? If so, the data was collected early 2017. Still 2 years old info on card. Did you accept that?
