I just looked up my old Primera. It had 180,000 on the clock at it's final MOT. I doubt the Pulsar will manage that somehow.

Why not?

But it all depends how its used. If its often town driven, then yes, its likely to expire, or require various parts to keep it going. However if its a motorway mile muncher, looked after with regular, proper servicing, then 150,000+ wont be difficult!

Why not? I simply don't think the build quality is the same since Renault took control.

The 1.2 I would question (but that's based on having an early engine burning oil), but the 1.6 DIG-T and the derv engines should have no issue.

Also saying that, you are always going to get to 'odd ones' which simply seem better than the rest. If you look at the history of the Primera, you are going to find cars which were scrap at 70k miles, and some with 250k+.....

The highest mileage car I know of round my way died with over 250k on the clock. It was a renault Laguna.
I had a mk 5 golf tdi which suffered so many problems that I traded it in for peanuts due to ecu failure and a knackered dmf, amongst other things, which would've cost a hairy torture to fix. It had done 72k.
I think that assessments on quality are largely based on conjecture and pre conception. Certainly in my experience anyway.
