Re: X-tronic increase revs, takes off by itself
I have had an issue twice recently. While travelling at low speed, then accelerating hard to overtake, the car accelerated, red-lined and the rev limiter kicked in but the car would not engage a higher gear. Ended up having to lift off the throttle slightly before the car would gear up.... Starting ...

Re: Oil Consumption
Update: Dropped my car in last Monday for an engine inspection after the 3 oil consumption measurements required by Nissan. Received a phone call on Wednesday to say the engine was being replaced (short block) and picked my car up this morning. Will be monitoring the oil closely for the next few mon...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****
Had no joy from Nissan with my 15 plate which was sold with a 2013 map. Ended up buying a new map myself (on Ebay) this year as they dodged the question in several emails I sent them.

Hi BCH, Best to get it done at a Nissan dealership and ask them to measure what has gone in. Doing this helped move the process along for my vehicle as Nissan wants 3 oil consumption...

Just an update. Took the car back yesterday after the 3,100miles, topped up 1 litre (since last top-up 1,000miles ago). Now told to bring the car in for 3-5days for investigation....

Re: Electrical issues. No help from Nissan
Hi. I've had the key not detected alarm when the key was in the same trouser pocket as my mobile phone, separated the 2 and no more problems.

Re: Oil Consumption
Nissan dealership (who have been really helpful so far) monitoring the oil consumption of my 1.2 DIG-T (15 plate). First I went through 9 liters of oil in 12,000miles, now used 3.5liters in 2,000miles, was told to bring it back when I hit 3,100miles so that a report can be sent to Nissan. Service ma...

Re: Battery Problem
Just had my genuine Nissan battery (EFB type) replaced under warranty today. Collected the car and see they've fitted a lead acid battery?!?!? Looking around on the internet, it seems this battery is not suitable for cars with a stop/start system. Anyone had any experience with this? Should I take t...
