Re: New tyres

Hello, Thanks for all your help. Committed this time to the 195/60/16 which are indeed ridiculously expensive compared to 205/55/16...more choice on the market I guess. Also felt that as the vehicle was supplied with 195/60/16 H XL tyres I should replace with like, as from an insurance point of view...

Re: New tyres

Hello, Got the ContiEco 5 fitted this morning. Decided to put them on the rear and then rears on front. The old ones had been wearing on the shoulders as well as the tread so I asked the guy to check the set up. Discovered they were ‘toed in’ at the front which would not have helped shoulder wear so...

Re: New tyres

Hello again, Yes listening and reading to advice on this topic has made me decide I am best using the same again. I have ordered a pair of Continental Ecocontact5 195/60/16 H XL at a cost of £120 each ;) The odd size is a financial pain in the butt though. I checked and found that if the car had com...

New tyres

Hello, I am about to replace the front tyres on my 2016 dci Accenta. The current tyres have done 15 600 miles and are quite worn at the shoulders as well as low on tread. The fitted tyres are Continental Ecocontact 5 195 / 60 / 16 H XL. It has been a real bind trying to get a half decent replacement...

Re: Whine

Having read some posts from other forums it might be due to a split or loose hose at the turbo :?:

Regards.

Re: Whine

Hi Metalmickey, Yes it will be due a service at the end of May and I was going to leave it until then to raise it with the dealer as the car is fine in all other aspects. I was just wondering if any one else had similar issues and if there was any urgency in having it looked at. Also, I have found o...

Whine

Hi, My May 2016 Accenta diesel, (15 500 miles), is still making the whining noise I mentioned in a previous post. A reply to that post suggested that it could be due to the turbo spinning up when the oil was cold, (thank you danielk :) ). It is still doing this even when the engine has heated up. It...

Does it need serviced?

Hello, My May 2016 1.5dci has 14 600 miles on the clock. It had been serviced during June 2017 when it had done around 11 500. I purchased the car in August 2017 with around 11 600 miles. My question concerns the service mileage shown in the Maintenance sub-menu of the info screen. When I scroll to t...

Just some observations

Hello, We have had our 2016 Pulsar 1.5dci Acenta for six months now. Just a few observations to invite comments. Overall we are very pleased with the car. It was a May 2016 model with 11 800 on the clock, it now has 14 100 with no problems to date. It seems to be averaging 60+ mpg , (according to th...

Re: Replacement Tyres

Thanks SplanK. I recall putting Roadstone tyres on my Mercedes 190 2.6 back in the day. They were a budget brand from Nexen I think, were't a fortune and lasted quite well. So worth a look indeed.

Regards.
