Re: Zero Confidence in my Pulsar, advice welcome

I can understand your unhappiness with the Pulsar but I think you really have got a rogue vehicle. I've had my 66 plate from new and have had no real problems. I don't like the way that Stop/Start seems to work intermittently so tend to switch it off, and the auto wipers are a joke. Sometimes flying...

Re: Replacing steering wheel airbag

Yeah , Nissan service wants about 160 Euro. I think it’s a simple job. Key is to remove the battery first . Just checking around before I get courageous :) 160 euro is a rip off even if it is a specialist job. My 'source' wasn't somebody who is generally inclined to say it's a specialist job, or tr...

Re: Replacing steering wheel airbag

I don't believe you can replace an airbag yourself, at least not safely. An explosive is used to fire the airbag so if you do set it off accidentally you could do yourself serious damage. I'm certainly no expert but was watching a TV programme where they do up cars and they said it required a specia...

Re: Fuel economy 1.2 engine

I did a trip of approximately 50 miles yesterday (Bath to Gloucester) on a mixture of A roads and motorway. I tend to be a fairly smooth driver anyway and don't accelerate or brake hard if I can avoid it. According to the display at the end of the trip I averaged 58 mpg on the 1.2 petrol. I was trav...

Re: Incorrect Key ID

I've been using the same fob daily since I got the car in November '16 and it's still using the original battery. It will still unlock the car from 30 feet away or more.

Re: Car stealing

Fob is normally in my pocket, and we sleep at the back of the house.

Re: Incorrect Key ID

I have had the car from new. Strange thing is I tried the 'spare' fob again today and it worked perfectly. Unlocked doors from about 20 feet, so that would seem to rule out weak battery, and the car started without any issue.

Incorrect Key ID

I have almost always used the same fob with the Pulsar but today tried using the 'spare', and got the message above. Searching other forums suggests it may be low battery causing it, but that really doesn't seem to make sense as that one has hardly been used. I tried putting the fob on the Stop/Star...

Re: 1.2 Xtronic maintenance schedule

You could try your local Nissan dealership, assuming there is one somewhere near to you.

Re: Help! - Broken wing mirror housing

You could try a vehicle dismantler, but I would expect Pulsar bits to be pretty rare.
