Re: R/H Drive shaft keeps coming out of box
This forum is for the C13 Pulsar, as sold in Europe. Pulsars sold elsewhere in the world are a completely different model , currently C12. To make the issue even more confusing Nissan has been arbitrarily using the name Pulsar for different vehicles across the world at different times. . See wikiped...

Re: NISSAN PULSAR 2015 1.2 CVT
I am no auto box technician and could be speculating but I have some experience of using a CVT on another Nissan. (not pulsar) ; Does that tak tak noise increase with engine speed (RPM) when auto box is in neutral or Park ? It sounds like a torque converter issue - this should be silent at all times...

Potential Clutch wear on manual cars
Pulsar like most of new cars has a very high (tall) first gear. Ratios that were used for large diesel engines with huge torque are now being used in very small petrol engines with turbo. On Pulsars there does not seem to be much difference in ratios between a diesel and petrol models. All done in t...

Summer Time Blues
Now that we are starting to have warm weather, I note another of 1.2 DIG-T's "features". between 1750 and 2250 rpm ( which just happens to be around 20mph in 2nd or 30 mph in 3rd) the car hunts , a series of small hesitancy. You can feel that as the car starts to jerk as well as the tacho ...

Re: FRONT OFF SIDE ABNORMAL TYRE WEAR
while 0.7 is unusually heavy wear , 4.5mm left after after 12K is better then average ; mine have worn 4.5 after just 5.5K miles ; see my comment elsewhere. I suspect Contis are super soft . If I have still have the car by its second service, I will replace them with Dunlops.

Re: Engine "throttling" during acceleration
I did an experiment on a few cars to prove that small capacity turbo engines,( like the one on pulsar) , are near impossible to hold at a steady revs until the turbo is producing a useful level of boost ; on this car around 2000 rpm. You can try this yourself; try hold the rpm anywhere between idle ...

Re: LED vs foglight DRL change
I think the issue is what type of bulbs these DRL use . Could a Nissan Technician tell us how to access these and if they are unique to Nissan ( I somehow doubt a car manufacturer would go to that lengths).

Re: Engine "throttling" during acceleration
unusual, this is more of an issue in first gear; hesitancy, although there is a hint of it in second . I am beginning to suspect that this is a fuelling problem. If the turbo is spinning down , because you have lifted the throttle, the fuel injection is restricted to lower hydrocarbon emission, and ...

Headlight leveling recall
I got a recall letter from the dealer stating the LED headlight's auto levelling feature may not work under all condition due to the way IPDM - Intelligent Power Distribution Module- is programmed to work. Under some condition The fix will involve code update, to, what I am guessing is the body ECU.

Re: 1.5 Dci Tekna - Fuel Gauge issue?
virtually all new cars have non linear gauge, where its wildly inaccurate at both ends. I suspect this is caused by plastic moulded tanks shaped to max out the volume using irregular space available . Even your range display is calculated on the average mileage for past journeys and the amount of fu...
