Replacement Tyre choice?

Hi, I've had my Pulsar (1.2 Petrol) for nearly 5 years and I'm due to change both front tyres shortly. Since I've had the car I've always stuck with Continental. My car has the bigger alloys (205/50 R17V 89) which came fitted by the dealer and the Continentals have been averaging around 12,000 miles...

Help! - Broken wing mirror housing

Hi, I'm hoping for some advice. While driving home from work last night some clown in a white Peugeot (who didn't stop by the way) whacked my driver's side wing mirror. Thankfully the glass didn't break and initially I thought I had only lost the colour coded top trim cover, which I managed to retri...

Re: Stop/Start Fault

Just to provide an update. I took the car into my local Nissan dealer at the end of last week. They ran a diagnostics check and told me the Stop / Start system fault was being caused by a low cell in the battery. They replaced it and the fault has now gone, although I had the pleasure of being charg...

Re: Stop/Start Fault

Thanks kt53 and that is the sensible option. I will contact them to see that they advise. Probably best not to get too worried in the meantime until I know the outcome of the dealer's diagnostic check. Just have to hope that's pretty easy and cheap to fix, although reading all the posts I think I'm ...

Re: Stop/Start Fault

Hi, I've been reading this article with interest. I have a 64 plate Pulsar with the 1.2 petrol engine and driving home from work on Friday night I was also advised of this fault. I've seen it a couple of times before but it has always disappeared after a few minutes. This time it has stuck on and wh...

Re: FRONT OFF SIDE ABNORMAL TYRE WEAR

My Pulsar is coming up to 12k miles and I have just had to change both rear tyres. The front two were replaced at 10k. I've gone with Continental again but if these are no better than the originals I will look for an alternative next time.

Spare Wheel Options?

Hello, Re: Nissan Pulsar 1.2 DiG-T Visia My Pulsar currently relies on the spray can option to temporary repair a puncture. I was thinking about replacing this with either a space saver or full size spare wheel. Firstly does my model have sufficient space to store a full size spare wheel and if so, ...

Re: real world mpg

I also have the 1.2 Dig-T engine. The best I've had is 55mpg but the normal is around 45 mpg and I'm currently averaging 47 mpg. My car shows around 350 miles on a full tank but quickly falls to just over the 300 mark after a few miles of driving. Although the figures seems pretty erratic at times a...

Re: Water leak !!

Good news Toolman and thanks for the update. Water leaks are awful and so frustrating. I hope everything is now resolved. I checked my car after reading your post and we haven't had a dry day since late October - but thankfully all is well! Good luck.
